The Byron Bay Brewery are the perfect partners for Bluesfest Byron Bay. After all, both have shared the same space and built many stories in the place where the Byron Bay Brewery has called home since2004, the same property where Bluesfest (then the East Coast Blues and Roots Festival) started out in its humble beginnings in 1990. Today, the brewery is run by Head Brewer, Alastair Gillespie who likes to brew things a little differently and even created a bespoke ‘Dirty 30’ beer for Bluesfest’s 30th Anniversary celebration in 2019. The Byron Bay Brewery has six beers in their range and although they love a good ale, their focus is now on brewing great-tasting craft lagers perfectly suited to the local tropical climate we experience here in Byron Bay. Their most popular being Hazy One Pale Lager.
SAE Creative Media Institute is once again proud to sponsor Byron Bay’s Bluesfest for 2020. As the iconic festival turns 31, SAE also celebrates its 15-year relationship with Bluesfest. Every year, students from our design, audio and film courses across Australia are given the opportunity of a lifetime to work beside industry heavyweights and some of the world’s most revered musical artists at the Festival. Both SAE and Bluesfest have a long and proud history in Byron Bay and share a passion for promoting innovative musicality and creativity in the region and beyond.
