For the last thirty years, riding shotgun with Kenny Wayne Shepherd has been the greatest road-trip in rock ‘n’ roll. The young Louisiana gunslinger who erupted onto the late 90s scene with his burn-it-down guitar solos and gut-punch songcraft has become even more magnetic, still pushing his Fender Strat, while diving deep into human truths and personal evolution with an honesty that only comes with miles on the clock. A restless creativity has driven Shepherd ever since he taught himself to play guitar at the age of 7. A musician in constant motion, Shepherd has spent his career burning up the highways and crossing continents, bringing his unique style of rock/blues to the world.

Throughout his career, Shepherd has received five Grammy nominations and a plethora of awards. He has had 10 albums debut at #1 on the Billboard Blues charts and has multiple albums certified Platinum and Gold by the RIAA.

Like all the great songwriters, Shepherd’s catalog has always been the best way to get to know the reserved musician. His path was set from childhood, learning from the records brought home by his radio DJ/Program Director father and he went on to make his stage debut at the age of 13. With albums like his Platinum selling Ledbetter Heights, his Platinum selling Trouble Is… and his Gold selling Live On the blues-rock scene hailed him as its most honest new songwriter and guitar hero of his generation.

Kenny Wayne Shepherd's reverence for his musical roots took center-stage on award winning documentary Ten Days Out...Blues From The Backroads. Shepherd, along with an all star rhythm section spent ten days performing with some of the greatest blues players of all time as well as lesser-known but historically significant bluesmen. Traveling to their hometowns to record everywhere from juke joints to front porches, from New Orleans to Kansas, Shepherd celebrated many of his idols and become part of blues history with Ten Days Out...Blues From The Backroads.

Not willing to rest, Shepherd continued to write and record, showcasing his ever-evolving songwriting and when his friendship with legendary veterans Stephen Stills (Crosby, Stills & Nash) and Barry Goldberg (Electric Flag) led to Shepherd becoming one-third of the blues-rock supergroup The Rides, they wrote and recorded two acclaimed albums, Can't Get Enough and Pierced Arrow, further illuminating Shepherd’s depth and proficiency as a songwriter, guitar player and vocalist.

In an industry that's changed drastically over the years, Shepherd’s versatility and drive has served him well. He plans to keep making music and to keep touring, “I don’t have any intention of sitting idly. We're a live band, and when people listen to our records, I want them to hear what we sound like when we play live. I just want to keep moving and keep creating and keep doing what I love – for as long as I possibly can…”

Shepherd has sold millions of albums worldwide and in addition to his five Grammy nominations, he has won two Billboard Music Awards, a pair of Orville H. Gibson awards, the Blues Foundation’s Keeping The Blues Alive award and two Blues Music awards. He’s had ten #1 blues albums and a string of #1 mainstream rock singles.
