AWARD NEWS - Bluesfest Nominated for a 2015 Helpmann Award!

Bluesfest is very proud to be nominated now for the seventh time in the category of Best Contemporary Music Festival by the prestigious Helpmann Awards to be held in late July!
Bluesfest has won four Helpmann Awards for Best Contemporary Music Festival.
The Helpmann Awards are an Australian awards event that celebrates the Australian performance industry and recognises excellence in a breadth of artistic mediums and genres including performance, design, production, theatre, events, music and more. It is the premier awards event in Australia for live performance.
Festival Director Peter Noble, who won the Rolling Stone Award last year for his contribution to the music industry, has lead Bluesfest into its 27th year of successful operation, building it from humble beginnings to being internationally renowned and recognised as one of the best festivals in the world. Bluesfest was the only Australian festival to be listed in Billboard’s 2014 Top 10 festivals in the world.
Fellow nominees are Vivid Festival 2015, St Jerome’s Laneway Festival and WOMADelaide.
The Helpmann Awards will be broadcast live from Sydney on Foxtel on Monday 27th July 2015 at 7:30pm.
The 27th Annual Bluesfest will be held at Tyagarah Tea Tree Farm from Thursday 24th March – Monday 28th March 2016.
