Travel to/from Bluesfest

Hello Everyone!

Bluesfest may have moved a few kilometres out of town, but rest assured getting to and from the Festival will be hassle free.

We will update this page with more valuable information as we move along, but for now here is some helpful information.

Tyagarah Tea Tree farm, our new Bluesfest Home, is situated in between Byron Bay and Brunswick Heads. It is approx 10 minutes drive north of Byron and 10 minutes south of Brunswick Heads. From Gold Coast airport it takes about 45 minutes to get to Bluesfest and 35 minutes from Ballina airport.

Bus Services:

Do yourself a favour and get on a bus. Services are frequent and inexpensive. Best of all you can relax and forget about who's driving. Buses will run all day and evening to and from the festival. Note: After the Festival finishes at midnight, a line of buses will be waiting outside the festival gates, to take everyone to their destintions! There will be plenty of buses available!

Blanch's Bus Company provides festival goers with regular shuttle services from Ballina, Lennox Head, Suffolk Park, Bangalow, Byron Bay, Brunswick Heads & Mullumbimby.

Byron Shuttle service will pick up everyone going to the festival from Suffolk Park (Byron Hills Roundabout) opposite the Suffolk BP Petrol Station, through town (Byron Tourist information centre) to Ewingsdale. If you are on the main road through Byron feel free to 'Hail' the driver to pick you up. This bus service will run every 20mins (subject to traffic).

Ballina, Lennox Head and Bangalow buses will be running for the festival duration, excluding Thursday. From Ballina: Tamar Street bus stop, Lennox Head: Ballina Street (opposite the Professional centre), Bangalow: TBA. Frequency of this bus run is TBA.

Brunswick Valley Coaches will be running a shuttle service from Ocean Shores and Brunswick Heads to the festival site.

Pick up points are as follows: Billinudgel (Humble Pie Shop), SDA Church North Ocean Shores, South Golden Beach Shop, New Brighton Shop, The Strand Shops, Ocean Shores Shops, Brunswick Tourist information office, Uncle Tom's Pies. The Bus will be taking route down Orana rd, Balemo drive and Rajah rd, if you are staying in accommodation down these roads 'Hail' the driver and he will pick you up.
