Fri/Sat/Sun tickets running hot, Saturday @ Bluesfest, David Gray message & Bluesfest Merchandise for Christmas.
Wow, it’s only 36 days to Christmas and 134 days until we open the gates to our 26th Bluesfest and welcome you all. Here we are with our weekly Bluesfest NEWS.
It’s only been a week since Bluesfest won the Australian Event Award for Australia's Best Arts, Cultural or Music Event and what a joy that was.
Fri/Sat/Sun 3 Day Tickets – Hottest seller of all!
The 3 Day Fri/Sat/Sun ticket is by far the hottest seller. They are selling a lot quicker than any other year and if you can only come for those 3 days we recommend you lock your tickets in sooner rather than later.
If you can come for the 5 days, we highly recommend that option. We are yet to announce many more amazing artists to play on all days of the Festival.
|A 5 day ticket to Bluesfest is currently $545 – that is only $109 per day!
|3 day tickets from $380

A SOLID DOSE OF THE BLUES and ROOTS…
JOHN MAYALL has been penned the godfather of British Blues and for good reason. JOHN MAYALL is a pioneer of the Blues, he founded John Mayall & the Bluesbreakers in the ‘60’s which backed legendary musicians including John Lee Hooker and became a launching platform for many including Eric Clapton.
Another Saturday don’t miss is DAVE ALVIN AND PHIL ALVIN WITH THE GUILTY ONES. DAVE ALVIN last played Bluesfest in ’96, and PHIL ALVIN, will be performing at Bluesfest for the very first time. They will be showcasing their first album together after 30 years; Common Ground - The Songs of Big Bill Broonzy. Have a listen to ‘Big Bill Blues’ off the album here:
THE MUSIC MAKER FOUNDATION is dedicated to artists from the South who continue to perform great Blues & Roots music styles and to keep their traditions alive as they enter into their older years. They are bringing one of the most exciting Music Maker line-ups to ever play Bluesfest in 2015 including Cool John Ferguson, Little Freddie King, Alabama Slim, George Stancell, Albert White, Nashid Abdul & Ardie Dean. Find out more about the incredible work they do at the Music Maker Foundation here:
Other Saturday delights will include checking out the ‘piano professor’, the one and only JON CLEARY, who Bluesfest alumni Bonnie Raitt describes as 'the ninth wonder of the world'. JON CLEARY will be performing with his band THE MONSTER GENTLEMEN. Check out JON CLEARY performing for ROCKWIZ back in 2007 here:
Punk Rock and Mariachi will join forces when the one and only MARIACHI EL BRONX make their Bluesfest debut and we can’t wait! Their guitarist Joby Ford discussed their upcoming Bluesfest appearance with Rolling Stone Australia recently, “I’m excited to see a bunch of bands I’ve never heard or seen before”. “We’ll be on our game because the calibre of musicianship there is going to be pretty high. And I hate practicing.”
And that is not all, Paolo Nutini, Alabama Shakes, Rodrigo y Gabriela are just some of the other INCREDIBLE musicians performing on Saturday at Bluesfest!
