Christmas 'Time to Pay' ending, Friday @ Bluesfest, Camping News & Australian Event Awards!
Every week that goes by brings us closer to Bluesfest and Christmas. Both will be here in no time, especially Bluesfest, once the new year has begun!
We can’t wait for our next festival and the great news is that there will be at least one, if not two, more wonderful artist announcements before Christmas, with the next one being just around the corner! Ho Ho Ho.
Christmas ‘Time to pay’ – only hours left!
It finishes just before Midnight this Thursday 13th of November.
It’s all about 3 easy fortnightly payments over the next 4 weeks to secure your tickets in time for Christmas.
Bluesfest tickets make the best Christmas presents and you can purchase them without leaving your house or office.
Added bonus: Purchasing your tickets now, means you get them at the current price. By the time you have paid them off (before Christmas), many more artists will have been announced and further price increases put in place.

Friday @ Bluesfest:
Still contemplating what day to come to Bluesfest? The 5 day ticket is the best value for money and with our current 5 day ticket price you only pay $109 per day. However, if the whole kit and caboodle isn’t your style, Friday single day tickets are one of our hottest sellers and it is no surprise when you see the spectacular line-up we have in store for you!
THE CONTEMPORARY: The Black Keys are one of the major bands in music today and their performance in 2015 will mark 9 years since they last played Bluesfest and 6 years since Dan Auerbach performed solo, The Black Keys will only perform once at Bluesfest and yes - it is Friday!
Another must-see on Friday night is the Alabama Shakes, who will be making their Bluesfest debut in 2015- check out their own brand of raw, rootsy and honest Rock n Roll here:
Next up we have the chart-topping Scotsman with Italian heritage, Paolo Nutini who is going to be joined on stage by his accomplished 9 piece band...
If you are a fan of Southhampton Rock Heavyweights, Band of Skulls, be warned that Friday is the only day you can catch them at Bluesfest!
THE BLUESFEST FAVOURITES: We enjoyed Gary Clark Jr. so much at Bluesfest 2014, we asked him back to perform three times in 2015 and for those of you with a Friday ticket, you will get to see why he is being called the new generation of Blues and a legend in the making!
We can’t be too biased but do you remember the genius of the Zac Brown Band at Bluesfest in 2013? This band has become one of music’s most heralded acts, with a whopping 50 combined Grammy, ACM, AMA, CMA and CMT Award nominations under their belt!
Although Beth Hart played Bluesfest for the first time in 2014, she blew us away so much she has instantly earned herself the title of a Bluesfest favourite and you can see what we are talking about on Easter Friday!
THE INSTRUMENT MASTERS: You are going to be seeing some instrumental wizardry at Bluesfest on Friday, Trombone Shorty & Orleans Avenue are arguably New Orleans finest music export today and Trombone Shorty (or Troy Andrews) sure knows how to play the Trombone and Trumpet.
Another Friday treat for you is Jake Shimabukuro, who will blow your mind with his skills on the ukulele, check him out here:
THE NEW FINDS: Another Bluesfest debut in 2015 happening on Friday will be Nigerian musician Keziah Jones, he describes the sound of his latest album as“George Clinton sharing a joint with Fela” do we need to say more??!!
REGGAE LEADERS: For those of you who like your music served up with a side of chilled Reggae beats then Friday is the day for you! SOJA – the American Dub Band are one of the leaders in the US Reggae Music Movement of today and will be performing on Friday. Also performing on Friday is the one and only Jimmy Cliff who Rolling Stone penned “…Reggae’s first global superstar.”
And that is not all! See the other incredible artists playing on Friday here !

Camping @ Bluesfest:
Camping right in the heart of the festival is the true way to experience Bluesfest. Our campground is open to 5 day, 3 day and 1 day festival ticket holders. Our campground is over half sold out and spaces will become more limited as we are approaching the festival ever so fast!
Accommodation around Byron can be hard to find, especially for one night, so why not come and stay with us? The campground offers showers, toilets, general store and lots of friendly people to meet. You have the liberty of coming and going without really leaving!
Don't forget: As a 5 day ticket holder, you can arrive 1 day before the festival begins, ie Wednesday the 1st of April. All other 3 & single day ticket holders must arrive on the day written on their ticket.
If you are coming for the entire festival, add to your experience by booking a Tipi or a Tent Motel, which are already set up for you.
