It's been an amazing week.
We won the Helpmann award as Australia's Best contemporary Music Festival...not bad. It has been a long 7 years since we last won - and in that time we have been nominated 5 times as a finalist - I was beginning to think it would NEVER happen again. I will do a report next week on Bluesfest and our artist announcement(s). All I will say is, it is beginning to look like a VERY special 25th coming up.
I look forward to sharing it with you.
Thanks for all your support over the years.

We did it! The 24th Annual Bluesfest was awarded the esteemed Helpmann Award for Australia's Best Contemporary Music Festival on Monday night at the 13 th Annual Helpmann Awards, presented live in Sydney at the Sydney Opera House.
Bluesfest was nominated against The Falls Music and Arts Festival, Laneway Festival and Vivid Live 2012.
In his acceptance speech Peter Noble paid tribute to all the people that it takes to win an award as prestigious.
He included not only his Bluesfest management and office staff but also all of the 500+ people who work on the event each year.
Bluesfest has been nominated seven times for the prestigious award and our touring department had its first nomination this year in the Best International Contemporary Concert category for the Tedeschi Trucks concert supported by Trombone Shorty at the Enmore Theatre. Monday night marked the third win for Bluesfest in the Best Contemporary Music Festival category, the last two times being 2005 and 2006!
