For over twenty-five years Bluesfest has proudly flown the flag for local and international blues and celebrated the diversity of the great genre.
From legendary pioneers like John Mayall, Mavis Staples & George Clinton, to contemporary powerhouses like Gary Clark Jr, Alabama Shakes & Trombone Shorty, the blues has been the foundation of hundreds of years of musical evolution throughout the world, and the backbone for innumerable genres including Country, Rock’n’Roll, Funk, R’n’B, Soul, Hip-Hop & Folk to name merely a handful.
The unwavering vision of Bluesfest Director, Peter Noble, and his team has been to showcase and acknowledge the immensity of the blues in how far it reaches geographically, and how deep it affects the individual emotionally. The blues heals, rattles, and revives; one only needs to observe the most diverse festival audience in the world to bear witness to its ability to unite a great many people. The Blues is behind most of the great music in the world, and continues to inspire the future generations of music stars to create the music you will love tomorrow.
We equally revel in the legends and the young artists who continue to keep the Blues flame burning for us all to enjoy.
Today, we celebrate the BLUES in Bluesfest. Read up on these legendary artists, and further down take a look at ALL the Blues & Roots artists performing at Bluesfest:

LENNY KRAVTIZ CANCELLATION: UPDATE
Last Friday we expressed our disappointment in having to announce that Lenny Kravtiz has cancelled his entire 2015 Australasian tour, including his Bluesfest performance. Whilst it is a shame for us and his fans, it does not impact the impeccable calibre of this year's Bluesfest line-up, and the electrifying opening night Thursday will be.
We are currently working very hard to find yet another amazing artist to join the already strong bill, at short notice. At this stage we can confirm that Thursday's set WILL change.
Please stay tuned - we will share the news with you as soon as we are able.
In the meantime, for more information on the Lenny Kravtiz cancellation and to answer some of your questions regarding your tickets, please click here.
We look forward to celebrating this very special Bluesfest with you!
