Countdown to Bluesfest's sensational first artist announcement has officially begun.

The big day to mark in your calendar is Thursday 4th of November. Just over a week to go!

Magic is truly coming together for Bluesfest 2011. Our first announcement will include at least 15 headliners plus other famous and much loved artists.

Get ready to experience those moments of joy and excitement, when you finally find out who we have in store for you!!

Early bird tickets will finish just before the announcement and
prices will increase.

Some of our headliners will only play ONCE. If you don't want to miss out on "once in a lifetime" performances and SAVE money on tickets, now is the time to get in.

An allocation of Single Day Early Bird tickets has been set aside for each day of the Festival.

Due to the high calibre of artists playing each day, single ticket prices will increase to $159 once the Early Bird allocation of single day tickets is sold out.

A Daily playing schedule with first round of artists will be published on our website.

Some words from Festival Director Peter Noble:

I am more than pleased to say that artist confirmations are coming along really well this year. The way it goes with us is, as soon as we have enough artists to announce....we announce - there's no great business plan or anything behind it - it's just a matter of when the time is right it's right. Of course these are also very exciting times and now that we have (nearly) enough artists confirmed we are ready to go!!! As there are up to around 170 - 190 performances at Bluesfest and 120+ artists performing, you just can't book them all in one go! However the first & second artist announcements tend to have most of the headliners, unless some are a little slack in confirming in our timelines - at which point we fit them into one of the next announcements, which can be almost anytime up to a few weeks out from the festival. This is why some major artists are announced much later.

If you see the ticket prices go up a little more than expected after the Early birds go off sale - you KNOW we have the bill from hell to present.
